Samuel Boyd, a senior on the Vinton County High School boys’ cross country team, continues to cement his standing as one of the top runners in Southern Ohio and as one of the most accomplished performers in the proud history of the Vikings’ proud cross country program.

In last Saturday’s Tri-Valley Conference, Ohio Division Championship conducted at Vinton County High School, Boyd led the Vikings to the team championship while also finishing in first place in the field of 41 runners. This was the third year in a row for Boyd to win the race as an individual and therefore earn the title of Most Valuable Runner three years in a row.
