The Oak Hill High School Volleyball Team, under the coaching direction of head coach Zack Kiser, was able to raise over $3,000 to donate to the Sarah and Matt Bennett family. Sarah Bennett, 37, of Oak Hill, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has begun treatments. A special presentation was held during the “Volley For The Cure” volleyball  game held on Monday, Oct. 7, at Oak Hill Middle/High School. The match was between Oak Hill and Wellston. Everyone was encouraged to wear pink. There were games, a silent auction, and split-the-pot with proceeds going to the family. The members of the Oak Hill team and coaching staff are pictured with the Bennett family. There will be another chance to support the family on Sunday, Nov. 3. There will be a benefit event, organized by community members, at the Madison-Jefferson Bingo Hall from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The benefit will feature a dinner beginning at noon. There will be a silent auction as well as a live auction at 2:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Bennett family.
