Spreading the Yuletide spirit of giving this Christmas season, the Apple City Motorcycle Club recently presented a donation to American Legion Post 371 of Wellston to aid the organization’s charitable efforts throughout the community. Issued from the partial proceeds of the club’s recent Harley motorcycle raffle, this donation is the Apple City Motorcycle Club’s latest benevolent endowment to many area entities and endeavors, demonstrating their strong desire to help better the community through their own hard work – especially at Christmastime. “This is our honor, to do this,” said Club President Brian Jarvis at the presentation. “It’s what we work all year for.” Post Commander Bruce Conley thanked the club for its kindness and shared that, as there are always veterans in need throughout Jackson and Vinton counties, the American Legion would be collaborating with the local Veterans Affairs office to discuss how best to allocate these funds. “The American Legion thanks you,” said Conley to the club members present, “and we wish to express how appreciative we are as we try our best to help others this time of year.” As with the Apple City Motorcycle Club, the American Legion offers help to many local events and festivals along with its veterans outreach programming.
