Ohio’s Hunter Education Course will be offered at the On Guard Defense Training Center at New Plymouth in Vinton County for free and will be open to children ages 10 and older.

Currently, the course will be offered on both Friday, Oct. 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The is a certified Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife course with registration to be done through this state agency.

To register for this course, individuals can visit the Ohio Division of Wildlife website, ohiodnr.gov; click on “Hunter Education;” select “Hunter Education Course;” and then click “Find a Course.” Afterwards, those interested should select the event type “Hunter Education,” and the event type “Classroom.” When all of that is completed, those interested in attending can enter the ZIP code, 45654, and select “On Guard Defense.”
