To mark the end of the summer, the Vinton County Health Department; Healthy Families America; Help Me Grow; and Ohio WIC will be hosting an End of Summer Bash at the old Vinton County High School in McArthur.

Funded by the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting, the event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature a variety of attractions for kids and families to enjoy. The Summer Bash will be free to the community and host activities like inflatable attractions, face painting, a balloon artist, and a caricature artist. Additionally, both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Disney’s Queen Elsa will be in attendance for children to meet and have fun with.

Kona Ice will be in attendance with their iced treats being available to attendants and will be free to the first 150 attendants. There will also be fun foods and drinks available for purchase. Additionally, there will be car seat safety checks available to any individuals interested.
