KJ Worsham (right) will compete in the USSSA All-American Fastpitch Softball Games in Viera, Florida from Aug. 1 thru Aug. 6.
Worsham, from Jackson, Ohio, will be entering the eighth grade at Wellston Middle School. She is currently the starting shortstop for the Lady Rockets’ middle school team.
Tryouts for the Great Lakes Region were held in Indiana with approximately 1,000 girls from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan vying for a spot on the team.
Worsham will be playing third base for her 13U team at the All-American games next week.
Worsham currently plays for the MOJO Cox 14U travel ball team out of the Chillicothe. It is only her second season of playing travel ball.
The daughter of Angie Osborne, Worsham takes her softball seriously, according to her mother.
