Aided by two different bowlers tallying games of 200 or better, the Jackson Ironmen bowling team earned a 2,214-1,491 Frontier Athletic Conference boys victory over Greenfield-McClain on Monday, Jan. 4.

Shawn Woodyard’s 456 series, with games of 290 and 166 led the way for Jackson, while Owen White (203, 154) helped the cause in the victory.

Woodyard’s 290 game, which is a new school record, makes him eligible for the State Coaches Association “Honor Roll”, which lists the top scores bowled each year on the website.


The Ironladies also captured a 1,742-1,328 win over McClain, as Caitlynn Carlisle was the top bowler for Jackson with scores of 150 and 175.

Junior Varsity

The Ironmen’s junior varsity completed the sweep over McClain with a 1,703-1,230 victory. Erick Ramierez led the way for Jackson with games of 173 and 169.
