Senior Leah Alford is going out in style in her final softball season at Jackson.

The right-handed pitcher was named Player of the Year in the Frontier Athletic Conference for the 2022 season.

Alford went 10-7 in the circle and accumulated a 3.80 earned-run-average with 135 strikeouts this season. She also hit an impressive .533 with eight doubles, five triples, three home runs, and had 25 runs batted in to lead the Ironladies.

Joining Alford on the FAC’s all-conference softball team are Kayla Roberts, Camryn Spruell, Gracey Dearmon, Halle Revel, and Kensey Gilliland of Hillsboro. The Lady Indians won the FAC title outright in 2022.

In addition, Makenna Knisley and Kassidy Olson of Washington Court House, along with Emma Fromm of Chillicothe, Abby Atkinson of Greenfield-McClain, and Sydney Payton of Miami Trace were also selected on the all-conference team.
