In their recent 10U Jackson Co. win at Upper Arlington, The Black Sox finished first in the goal bracket at UA.

They would begin play against a solid Ohio Grizzlies team from Newark and win by a score of 4-2. The game was close throughout. The Sox would need to manufacture runs later in the game, as the bats were cold to begin the tournament. They did have 5 hits, with Waylon Delong leading the way with two of the hits. Collin Landrum, Easton Large, Cooper Marcum, and Jake Gallagher would do the pitching and prove to be more than the Grizzlies could handle.

In game 2, the bats came to life as the Sox beat the 10U Upper Arlington Yellow by a score of 16-0. They had 12 hits with Corbyn Smalley, Griffen Michael, and Brayden Bobst having two hits each. Cooper Marcum started the game on the mound for the Black Sox and Griffen Michael would finish it with a combined no-hitter.

The Sox would enter bracket play with a match up against the Grizzlies again. The game was tight from the start, but the Sox would continue to swing the bats well with hits from Delong, Lundrum, Marcum, Gallagher, Bobst, Smalley, Kruiz Kuhn, and two from Easton Large. Austin Towning and Pierce Kreischer would add a couple safety squeeze bunts and the game would quickly be decided with a run rule by a score of 16-6.

The Championship game would come down to the 1 seed Sox vs. a 9U Upper Arlington Gold team. The 9U team was playing up and playing well. This team had an undefeated season as an 8U team the year before, and they had won the 8U state championship. However, on this day the year difference in age was too much for UA Gold. The Sox would win the game by run rule and a score of 10-0. Landrum pitched lights-out on the mound for the Sox. Offensively, the Sox would have 9 hits and a few well-placed buntings to score 10 runs. Large would lead the hitting with 3 hits, including a home run.

The 10U Sox roster includes Cooper Marcum (Westview Elementary), Corbyn Smalley (Westview Elementary), Austin Towning (Westview Elementary), Braden Bobst (Westview Elementary), Jake Gallagher (Westview Elementary), Kruiz Kuhn (Southview Elementary), Collin Landrum (Southview Elementary), Waylon Delong (Southview Elementary), Griffen Michael (Southview), Pierce Kreischer (Bloom-Vernon Elementary), and Easton Large (Bloom-Vernon Elementary). The team is coached by Phillip Kuhn, Marc Kreischer, and Matt Large.
