CIRCLEVILLE – The Jackson Ironladies golf team wrapped up their 2021 season on Monday at the Pickaway Golf Course during the Southeast District, Division I sectional tournament.

With only three teams and three individuals not on a qualifying team advancing to the district tournament next week, Jackson missed the cut after posting a team score of 489 and a seventh-place finish.

Warren won the team title with a 391, while Miami Trace was second at 392 and Chillicothe at 407, won the last team qualifying spot with a third-place finish.

Athens came in fourth with a 413, and Marietta was fifth at 431, followed by Logan (433), Jackson (489), and Hillsboro (549).

Marietta’s Saylor Wharff was the match medalist and qualified to next week’s district tournament after shooting an 85.

The final two individual qualifiers are Ashley Aldridge (2nd, 86) of Logan and Lisa Liu (9th, 97) of Athens.

Kendra Woltz placed in a tie for 22nd with a 115 to lead the Ironladies. Makenna Folden (121) and Schuler Murray (123) finished 27th and 28th, respectively. Autumn Crabtree shot a 130 and placed 32nd to round out the official scoring for Jackson.

In addition, Alia Rippeth finished the day with a score of 170 for the Ironladies.

Woltz and Folden are the only seniors on the squad for Jackson. That is good news for head coach Scot Kilgour, who should have experience returning for the 2022 season.
