GALLIPOLIS – The Oak Hill Oaks cross country team finished in third place at the Skyline Bowling Invitational, hosted by Gallia Academy on Tuesday, Sept. 7, while Jackson was third.

Oak Hill’s top seven runners included Javi Mesegure (5th, 19:27.20), Walker Fowble (6th, 19:47.30), Connor Clark (12th, 21:07.60), Reagan Michael (13th, 21:27.50), Collin Bowling (16th, 21:50.10), Levi Lyons (22nd, 22:27.80), and Kade Kinzel (23rd, 22:32.90).

Jackson’s runners included Chris Hughes (2nd, 18:48.20), Matthew Gibson (7tth, 19:53.40), Griffin Peters (17th, 21:53.70), Ian Bautista (29th, 23:22.80), Luke Jolly (31st, 23:35.30), Keagan Hammond (32nd, 23:59.90), and Reed Rosler (35th, 24:46.30).

Rock Hill won the event with a score of 41 points, followed by Oak Hill (52), Jackson (81), Fairland (95), Gallia Academy (98), and Symmes Valley (131).

Brody Buchanan of Fairland won the individual title with a time of 18:39.60.

Girls Race

In the girls’ race, Jackson finished second. Oak Hill, however, did not have the required five runners to earn a team score.

Olivia Kennedy, who took medalist honors after crossing the finish with a winning time of 20:58.30, led Jackson.

Other runners for the Ironladies include Addie Wechter (6th, 24:08.50), Haleigh Hughes (18th, 28:47.70), Ellora Duncan (23rd, 29:36.70), Makenzie Yates (33rd, 36:18.40), and Chloee Harris (34th, 36:21.70).

Ivy Gentry was the top runner for Oak hill, as she finished eighth at 25:11.00.

Other runners for the Lady Oaks were Kaydee Johnson (14th, 27:38.60), Ava Lowes (16th, 28:13.70), and Emma Dugan (31st, 34:01.20).

Rock Hill won the meet with 29 points, Jackson finished second with 43 points, and Symmes Valley was third with 60 points.
