WILLIAMSPORT – Jackson senior Ethan Rasp advanced to the Division I district tournament as an individual on Thursday, after shooting a 15 over-par 87 at Crown Hill Golf Course.

This is the second time Rasp has qualified for the district tournament in his high school career. He qualified during his junior season in 2020.

Rasp finished in a tie for 14th-place with Chillicothe’s Vincent Haller on the 18-hole course.

Meanwhile, the Ironmen’s season ended after finishing sixth out of eight teams.

Only four teams and four individuals not on a qualifying team earned a spot in the district tournament next week.

Marietta finished first in the team standings with a score of 321, while Warren at 327 was second, Sheridan at 331 was third, and Chillicothe was the fourth and final team qualifier with a score of 354.

Athens was fifth with a 365, followed by Jackson (390), Miami Trace (428), and Logan (448).

Nathan Shadik of Athens finished as the runner-up in the individual standings after shooting a 77. Athens’ Milan Hall (18th, 89) and Jay Choi (20th, 91) were the final two district qualifiers.

Other Jackson scorers include Peyton Hill, who tied for 22nd, shot 95. Ethan Rice finished in 26th with a score of 103, while Tyler Mullins rounded out the scoring with a 105 and a 27th-place finish. Logan Dummitt, who 127, finished 39th for Jackson.
