To The Editor:

The 27th Annual Oak Hill Festival of Flags is in the history books, and a great year it was!  Attendance was up, weather was mostly cooperative, and the Village was looking its best, thanks to our great Village employees.  The Festival would not be possible without the continued support of businesses and individuals around Jackson County. Those supporters are, in no particular order: WesBanco, City of Jackson Travel and Tourism, Jackson County Banking Center, Jade Management Inc., H&H Industries, Best One Tire & Service, Atomic Credit Union, Southern Ohio Monument Co., Bellisio, Cross & Sons, JVC Metals, Cedar Heights Clay Co., Hamilton Financial Services, Randy Evans Construction, Whit’s of Jackson, Ohio Valley Supermarkets, Barry L. Smith, Boggs Pest Control, Strickland Sales and Service, Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau, Giovanni’s of Oak Hill, Gary’s Body Shop, A&A Truck Stop, Slark’s Collision Center, Ron Evans Enterprises, Sheward-Fulks Insurance, The Tobacco Station, Cardigan Investments, McDonald’s of Oak Hill, The Darnell Family, Jones-Stephenson Insurance, KFC of Oak Hill, Franklin Valley Carpets, Spurlock’s Ag & Lime, Newton’s Outdoor Solutions, Lewis-Gillum Funeral Homes, VFW of Jackson, and Main Express 3.
A new amusement ride company brought many children to the Festival this year.  Thanks to the generosity of additional sponsors, every child in the Oak Hill Elementary School was able to have a free day of rides.  Those rides sponsors are: S. Parker Excavating, Adena Health System, Strickland Sales and Service, MLA Construction, 3 Seasons Lawn Care, Kenny Adkins Logging, Frazier Farms, Oak Hill Police Officers, Oak Hill Council members Jody Fulk, Jennifer Hughes, Terry McCain and James Coleman; Madison Township Trustees Chris Walls, Dennis Evans, and Greg Potter; Madison Twp. Fiscal Officer Melissa Strickland, Jefferson Twp. Trustees Dwight Woods and Brett Shipman; Jefferson Twp. Fiscal Officer Jim Slone,  Mrs. Sharilyn Leonard, Hamilton Twp. Trustee Gerald Fulkerson, Oak Hill Union Local School Bus Drivers, Lee Saylor Logging, The Oak Hill Festival of Flags Committee, and several donors who wish to remain anonymous.
To all our sponsors, donors and supporters, and to all who attended the Festival in 2019, our sincere appreciation to you, and we hope to continue our special relationships in the years to come!
