To The Editor:

The Jackson County Sportsman Federation would like to send out a big “Thank You” to a very generous community. All the donations received helped to make this year’s banquet the best ever.
“We would like to express our thankfulness also to everyone that came, bought tickets and bid on auction items. Thank you to the Canter’s Cave staff for all your hard work. Over 70 businesses and individuals donated this year! We are very appreciative. We could not do it without you,” a spokesman said.
Nearly all of the proceeds from the banquet stay in our local community to promote outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. Monies are used to conduct hunter safety courses, youth days, two annual senior scholarships, support of local clubs and conservation of hunting lands.
The Jackson County Sportsman Federation would also like to thank the local elected public officials and those running for office this year for their support. Those in attendance at the fundraising banquet were: Commissioner Jon Hensler, Commissioner and candidate Paul Haller, Commissioner and candidate Ed Armstrong, Donnie Willis for Commissioner, Greg Beckner for Commissioner, Krista Brown for Recorder, Jeremy Eisnaugle for Recorder, Prosecuting Attorney and candidate Justin Lovett, Justin Skaggs for Juvenile Judge, Auditor Tiffany Ridgeway and also State Representative and candidate Jason Stephens, and State Representative candidate Jeff Halley. We will keep you in our prayers as you serve.
