To The Editor:

The End Christmas Hunger Committee, a ministry of Christ United Methodist, in partnership with the Jackson Food Pantry, wish to thank the following individuals, groups and businesses.  The special role they played helped to provide food for 290 families consisting of over 1,000 members who might not have had enough food for the holidays.  Without their very generous donations of food items and their time, we would not have been able to accomplish our goal to “End Christmas Hunger”. This outreach was a program to provide a complete Christmas meal and more to local families.

Again, we express a very sincere “thank you” to the following: Bellisio, CVS, John Lloyd & Sons, Guhl’s, Kroger, RSVP, Calvary United Methodist, Christ United Methodist, Christ UM Women, Elevate, First Baptist, First Church of the Nazarene, First Presbyterian, Good Shepherd Wesleyan, Grace United Methodist, High Praise Ministries, Holy Trinity Catholic, Trippieville Baptist, Wesley UMC Cornerstone SS Class, Jackson Literary Club, Jackson Study Club, Lioness Club, YMCA, Gladys Chandler, Margie Henry, Kendra Henry, Merrill Smith, Northview Elementary, Southview Elementary, Westview Elementary, JMS Student Health Council, JHS Leos Club, JHS National Honor Society, JHS Student Health Council and anonymous donors.

Praise be to God for a wonderful and caring community.

End Christmas Hunger Committee, Jackson
