The Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Pumpkin Walk will be held Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Central Memorial Park in Oak Hill.

Free pumpkins, donated by the Chamber, will be available Friday, Oct. 8 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Festival of Flags stage by the village community building. Only one pumpkin will be given per person. Participants must carve their pumpkin and bring it to Central Memorial Park between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Oct. 16. The Chamber will then place all the pumpkins around the park, insert a candle into each and light them all at 7:30 p.m. Free apple cider and cookies will be available at 7 p.m.

Children who participate will have a chance to win a prize in five categories: Best Carved Pumpkin, Best Painted Pumpkin, Scariest Pumpkin, Funniest Pumpkin and Best of Show Pumpkin. Adults may help children carve their pumpkins. Adults who participate will have a chance to win a prize for the best carved pumpkin.
