Longtime Oak Hill resident Martha Detty Foster (pictured) has been bestowed the honor of being named the grand marshal of the 2022 Oak Hill Festival of Flags, which is set for this weekend, Friday May 27 through Monday, May 30.  A festival representative noted that Martha Detty Foster has a long history of being active in the community and civic service and has always been a proud supporter of the festival. She will have the honor of ringing the Bicentennial Bell during the festival’s Opening Ceremonies at 5 p.m. Friday and will have a prominent place in the festival’s Grand Parade set for 4 p.m. Sunday. In accepting the honor, Martha responded: “I am honored and excited to be chosen Grand Marshal for the Festival of Flags for this 29th year.
