Jackson City Council is scheduled to meet in regular session at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 27 in the City Council chambers, but there will also be several other city-government related meetings earlier the same evening.

The Jackson City Tree Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Jackson Memorial Building at 145 Broadway St.

Also, the Police, Fire and Traffic Committee of Jackson City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Jackson Police Chief Brett Hinsch requested the meeting to discuss police cruisers.

Also, Jackson City Council will conduct a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. to consider two different requests for rezoning. The request is from the Jackson Historical Society for its property which includes Salt Lick Village on East Broadway Street. The other request is from Grandview Builders and involves property on Acy Avenue. Both requests were recommended for approval by the Jackson City Planning Commission.

All these meetings are open to the public.
