Longtime Jackson County Township Trustees Association President and Bloomfield Township Trustee, Roy Arthur, presented the Gold Chain Award to Jackson County Commissioners Paul Haller, Jon Hensler and Donnie Willis during the annual Township Trustees Banquet on Saturday, Dec. 4. This event, which was held at the Jackson County Senior Citizens Center on Mound Street in Jackson, was Arthur’s last as President of the Association. One of the three recipients of the 2021 honor, Commissioner Hensler, said the following, “Roy has worked tirelessly for decades advocating the mission of our townships and looking for ways for us all to partner in ‘working together where it counts.’ He has made Jackson County number one in the entire state in memberships for numerous years. I was honored along with Commissioners Donnie Willis and Paul Haller to receive the local association’s Gold Chain Award for working hard in collaboration with our local townships to provide, as a team, the best services we can for our community. Congratulations to all and I look forward to our continued progress in the years ahead!” Pictured from the left are Commissioner Haller, Commissioner Hensler, Association President Arthur, and Commissioner Willis.
