The 20th Annual Jackson County National Day of Prayer program will be conducted at 7 p.m. this Thursday, May 6, at the Family Life Center of the Christ United Methodist Church, located on Portsmouth Street in Jackson. Last year’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While this year’s program will be open to the public, organizers have also announced that the program will also be live streamed on the Facebook page of the Christ United Methodist Church at Facebook.com/jacksoncumc/videos. This will enable interested members of the public to have two different ways to watch the program. Also, it should result in reduced attendance at the Family Life Center, which will make it easier for social distancing to be achieved.

There will be a separate Day of Prayer program in Wellston, which is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 6 at the flagpole in Pride Park in Wellston.
