The Jackson County Board of Commissioners have appointed two new members to the county’s Port Authority Board over recent weeks to fill vacant seats.

During the April 20 meeting, a motion was put forth to appoint Keith Denny to the Port Authority in order to replace Bobbi Stepp, who decided to step down from that role. Denny was unanimously approved in the form of Resolution 86-21 for the term that expires July 14, 2022.

The very next week on April 27, the Commissioners, per the request of the Port Authority, unanimously approved the recommended appointment of Wellston resident Angela Spangler to the Board to fill the vacant term expiring July 14, 2022. That was approved in the form of Resolution 96-21.
