Christian Life Academy (CLA) conducted a Graduation Ceremony for its seven graduating seniors at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church near Jackson. The special speaker for the ceremony was former CLA teacher Juanita Leedy of Ravenswood, West Virginia.

The two top academic students in the class are Valedictorian Amy Meredith and Salutatorian Ryan Isaac. The seven members of CLA’s Class of 2022 are: Leslie Bragg, Amy Meredith, Alexzand Peoples, Emilee Whalen, Thomas Boggs, Ryan Isaac, and Noah Stollings.

Valedictorian Amy Meredith is the daughter of John and Shelley Meredith of Jackson. She has attended Christian Life Academy since preschool. Amy plans to attend Hocking College after graduation and will major in Early Childhood Education. During her junior and senior years at CLA, Amy has worked in the CLA Preschool Program, the CLA Summer Program and the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church Nursery Ministry Program.

Salutatorian Ryan Isaac is the son of Charles and Michelle Isaac of Jackson. Ryan has attended Christian Life Academy since grade six. Ryan plans to attend Ohio University after graduation and will major in Integrated Social Studies Education. Ryan has received the honor of being an Eagle Scout, has twice been chosen to represent CLA in the District 17 Honor Band and has worked at Arby’s of Jackson during his junior and senior years. Ryan also plays the drums in the praise band at Full Gospel Jesus Saves Church.

Christian Life Academy was founded in 1981 as a Christian education ministry of Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church, which is located at 10595 Chillicothe Pike, Jackson.

According to its website, “The purpose of Christian Life Academy is to present an atmosphere of excellence --excellence in academics, behavior, and Christian living. Christian Life Academy is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.  Christian Life Academy is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education as a private, non-public school and hosts classes for pre-school through grade 12. All staff at Christian Life Academy have  made a profession of Christian faith and are active members of a local church and meet all qualifications set forth by the Ohio Department of Education.  Christian Life Academy is a chartered non-public school and uses the A BEKA Curriculum for preschool-grades 12.”
