Tom Clark and Keith Woolum, who served the City of Wellston as members of City Council for over six decades combined, were honored by Mayor Charlie Hudson at the start of the first Council meeting for 2022, held Thursday night, Jan. 20. In reading a proclamation for the two men, Mayor Hudson stated, “Community service is an integral part of the operation and spirit of the City of Wellston. We honor those who generously give their time and talents to improve their communities. Tom Clark and Keith Woolum have served the City of Wellston on City Council from 1993 (Woolum) and 1988 (Clark). The City of Wellston recognizes Mr. Woolum and Mr. Clark for their many years of dedication to the city.” At the conclusion of the proclamation, Mayor Hudson stated the gesture was meant to serve as a permanent record of the city’s gratitude for Clark and Woolum’s devotion and service to their community.
