The Jackson Lions Club and its district organization recently provided additional financial support to the recently opened Men’s Addiction Recovery Campus, which is operated by W4C/ Hope Center of Jackson. The 16-bed facility is located on Chillicothe Pike west of Jackson and serves as a residential recovery center for men who are recovering from substance-abuse issues.

Lions Club International is a service organization established in 1917. There are currently 46,000 local clubs in more than 200 countries around the world. The Lions Club International Foundation has established various?grants dedicated to increasing the ability of clubs to impact their communities.?

This year, under the direction of District Governor Ollie Paxton, a grant was awarded to District OH-7 to assist faith-based substance abuse treatment centers. A portion of that grant was received by W4C/Hope Center for its Men’s Addiction Recovery Campus. Recently, in a separate presentation, Jackson Lions Club President Matt Garvey presented a $200 gift card to the W4C/ Hope Center for the purpose of purchasing groceries for the Men’s Addiction Recovery Campus.
