The Jackson City Library has some exciting news to share.

Lewy the dog, a frequent visitor to the library, is turning 5 on Thursday, June 17! Coincidentally, visitors to the library only need to be 5 years old to receive a library card and begin checking out books. To celebrate the occasion, the library is encouraging children over 5 years of age to visit, and not only get a new, free library card, but also free birthday treats from Lewy. Children may also check out books and read to Lewy if they desire!

This event will be available on Thursday, June 17, during normal operating hours. For more information, call the Jackson City Library at 740-286-4111. Join the library in celebrating Lewy’s birthday with a book and a picture!
