Howard and Alma Lemon, of Hebron, Ohio, formerly longtime residents of the Oak Hill area, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on October 15th.

They were united in marriage in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 15, 1950.  Howard is retired from the Ohio Highway State Patrol, Jackson Post, and farming.  Alma is a retired teacher, having taught in the Oak Hill Union Local School District.

The couple raised Polled Hereford cattle on their farm near Oak Hill for over 30 years and were very active volunteers in the Oak Hill community and Jackson County.

They are the parents of Peggy (Mark) Parrish and Steven (Carol Ann) Lemon. They have four grandchildren: Nicole (Dan) Cadigan, Christopher (Rhonda) Lemon, Carrie (Josh) Flegle, and Evan Parrish. They also have six great-grandchildren:  Brook and Wesley Cadigan, Adee and Rylee Flegle, and Sutton and Parker Parrish.
