Christian Life Academy (CLA) of 10590 Chillicothe Pike in Jackson, has recently welcomed three new educators to its staff.

CLA Director of Special Education Kimberly Culwell is a graduate of the Ohio University Patton School of Education for her undergraduate studies and of Ashford University for her Masters of Special Education. Mrs. Culwell also teaches history in the middle grades program at CLA.

CLA Assistant Principal Angela Talbert is also a graduate of the Ohio University Patton School of Education. Mrs. Talbert also teaches ELA, American History and American Government in the high school programs at CLA.

CLA Director of Afterschool Programs Rebecca Conley is a graduate of the University of Rio Grande Bunce School of Education. Mrs. Conley also teaches science in the middle grades program at CLA.

Christian Life Academy is a ministry of the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in Jackson. Originally founded as Open Arms Childcare in 1978, Christian Life Academy opened its school-age programs in 1981. Today CLA serves students, from Preschool to Grade 12, with students attending from eight Ohio counties (Jackson, Ross, Vinton, Gallia, Athens, Meigs, Pike and Scioto) and two neighboring states (Kentucky and West Virginia). CLA is an Ohio Department of Education chartered nonpublic school and is an approved EdChoice Scholarship and Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship provider school.
