Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp has postponed its Family Hiking Day event, which had been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 and it has been reset for Saturday, March 20. The date change was made due to the hiking trails not being in very good condition following the recent winter weather. Organizers promise “an afternoon of camping favorites,” including guided hikes, s’mores, hot chocolate, coffee, campfire and an open canteen. Also, Harrison-Powell Lodge and Foundation Lodge will be open so visitors can view updates made since the last camping season. Admission is $5 with kids ages 5 and younger admitted free. Participants are required to wear masks and to practice social distancing. For information, contact Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp by email at or by phone at 740-286-4058.
