For the second-straight year, the District-13 Coaches Association has a repeat choice for Coach of the Year in Division II, as Vinton County's Matt Combs has again earned the honor.
In addition, Norm Persin of Oak Hill was named Coach of the Year in Division III.
In Division II, the Vinton County Vikings had two players honored by the District-13 as first-team performers in seniors Tristan Bartoe and Derick Jones.
As the starting point guard, Bartoe led the Vikings with 19 points per game this season, while Jones averaged 16 points a game during the 2016-17 season.
Vinton County junior Naylan Yates was selected to the second team, along with sophomore Cooper Donaldson of Jackson. Yates averaged 17 points per game for the Vikings, while Donaldson led the Ironmen, scoring 10.6 points per contest.
Jackson junior Payton Speakman, who averaged 11.7 points a game for the Ironmen this season, was awarded special mention in Division II.
Junior Landon Carroll of Oak Hill, who averaged 18 points a game was named on the first-team in Division III, while teammate Mitchell Hale (16 ppg.) earned second-team honors.
Also garnering recognition is Oak Hill junior Nolan Carroll (13 ppg.) and Wellston junior Matt Simpson (14.8 ppg.), who were both special mention selections.
Jackson junior Rebekah Green and junior Cassie Bentley were among six members selected to the girls' District-13 team in Division II.
Green scored 23 points a game to lead the Ironladies, while Bentley averaged 14.2 points a game for the Lady Vikings during the 2016-17 season.
Jackson senior Amelia Davis earned special mention.
Receiving recognition on the first-team in Division III is senior Bethany Blanton of Oak Hill. On the court, Blanton averaged 20.6 points per contest to lead the Lady Oaks.
In addition, Oak Hill freshman Caitlyn Brisker and Wellston sophomore Sydney Mullins were special mention honorees in Division III.
The District-13 seniors will gather at Jackson High School on Monday for the annual District-13 All-Star basketball games. The girl's game will start at 6 p.m., followed by the boy's game. There are 22 seniors on the girls' roster in Division I-IV and 31 seniors on the boys' roster.
There will also be a three-point shooting contest featured at halftime of the girls' game, as well as a slam dunk competition at halftime of the boys' game.
