BOWLING: Wellston girls's bowling team defeats Ironton and Unioto
WELLSTON - The Wellston Lady Rockets' bowling team defeated Ironton on Wednesday at LeElla Lanes in Wellston.

The Lady Rockets won easily by the score of 1,495-1,212.

Senior Katie King led the way for the Lady Rockets with a 324 series.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Ironmen hold on for 59-52 win at Wellston
WELLSTON - In its seven-point win over Wellston, the Jackson Ironmen had to withstand a late push by the Rockets.

However, time was in favor of the Ironmen, as Cooper Donaldson scored 10 of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter, giving Jackson a 59-52 win.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Vikings remain perfect with win over Jackson
McARTHUR - The Vinton County Vikings continued what is shaping up to be a special season for them as they remained undefeated (9-0) with a 90-60 win over Jackson. The game was played Friday night on the Vikings Court. The Ironmen (6-7) are improving but as Jackson's Coach Max Marrow stated after the game, Jackson came out strong and played well in the first quarter as they only trailed 18-15 after one period.

JACKSON - The Jackson Ironmen wrestling team created a memory that won't soon be forgotten.

The Ironmen went up against Logan and Warren in the final Southeastern Ohio Athletic League Wrestling Championships and walked away with the championship trophy, while senior Billy Cooper took home Most Valuable Wrestling honors to complete the perfect night for Jackson.
