WELLSTON - It is often a shootout to the end when the Wellston Golden Rockets and Vinton County Vikings get together. Once again, their Thursday afternoon Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division baseball game was no exception.

WELLSTON - The Vinton County Lady Vikings trailed 6-5 before rallying for seven runs in the sixth inning and two more in the seventh to defeat Wellston 14-8 in TVC-Ohio Division softball action on Thursday afternoon at Nancy Kibler Field.

The Vinton County Vikings dropped a 16-3 decision against the Huntington Ross Huntsmen Saturday in a non-league baseball game. The game was shortened to five innings due to the 10-run rule.
