It has been announced that Jackson County Economic Development Partnership (JCEDP) Executive Director, Samuel L. Brady, has been appointed to the Rio Grande Community College Board of Trustees for a term beginning Sept. 5, 2018, and ending Oct. 10, 2020.

Yates facing felony charges, suspended indefinitely from OU football squad
Naylan R. Yates, 19 of 34410 Wolf Road, McArthur, was arrested in the early-morning hours Sunday, Sept. 16 on felony-level charges of aggravated robbery and assault in an incident that involved a current Vinton County High School (VCHS) junior, according to a report released by the Athens Police Department.
