SUV crashes into front wall of Jackson YMCA
SUV crashes into front wall of Jackson YMCA

This was the scene which greeted Jackson Police officers when they were called at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 to the Jackson Area YMCA where this sports utility vehicle had crashed into the front of the building. Police say the driver, Sandra Mossbarger, 69, of Jackson, was attempting to park when her vehicle accelerated, ran over a parking-block barrier and drove into the front of the building. The impact left a small hole in the front of the building, but police said there appeared to be no major structural damage. There was also no damage in an interior storage room, which was on the other side of the wall. Mossbarger did not appear to be seriously injured, but was taken by Jackson County EMS to Holzer Medical Center-Jackson. (Telegram Photo By Red Thompson, Jr.)
