Tiffany Ridgeway, a Jackson County Deputy Auditor, has announced her candidacy for Jackson County Auditor. The current officeholder, Clyde Holdren, is retiring at the end of his term.

Ridgeway, a republican, has worked in the Jackson County Auditor's Office for over 14 years. During her long tenure, Ridgeway has gained experience in practically all areas of the office. She currently serves as Deputy Auditor assigned to the real estate division, where she works with other county officials and the public on real estate matters including real property valuations, mapping, parcel assignments, information systems and advising on matters regarding the Jackson County Board of Revision and Tax Incentive Review Council. Her work experience has also included working closely with other major facets of the office including accounts receivable, accounts payable and manufactured homes.

Ridgeway stated Auditor Holdren has built an exemplary county auditor's office that Jackson County can look to with pride.

"Working directly with Clyde Holdren, learning so many aspects of the office for the past 14 years, has prepared me to take on the immense responsibilities of this office," Ridgeway said in a press release. "Clyde has been an invaluable teacher over the years, and I am confident I can take on the important work of this office to serve our citizens well."

Ridgeway said the proper operation of the county auditor's office is vital to the many public officials who rely on the office for information necessary to perform their work, and she is committed to ensuring these officials continue receiving superior service from the office.

Ridgeway, a graduate of Jackson High School, resides in Scioto Township with her husband, Aaron, whose parents are Bill and Clara Ridgeway, lifetime residents of Jackson County. They have two children, Mariah, 18, and Brayden, 14. Ridgeway actively attends a local church and volunteers with school booster clubs.
