Absentee and early voting for the Tuesday, Nov. 7 general election begins today (Wednesday, Oct. 11) throughout the state of Ohio.
Absentee votes can be cast in person at elections board offices or by mail. Elections board offices across the state, including those in Jackson and Vinton counties, will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day this week from Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 11-13. Also, the same extended-hours schedule will be observed at elections offices on the weeks Oct. 16-20 and 23-27. For more information, visit MyOhioVote.com.
The final day for new voters to register or to change their address for the Nov. 7 election was this past Tuesday, Oct. 11.
