Driver in minor wreck cited for DUS

Jackson Police officers were called to the scene of a minor two-vehicle wreck which occurred on the lot of the Ohio Valley Bank office at 738 East Main Street at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. Officers determined that a vehicle driven by Susan L. Kellough, 50, of 44 Kenwood Ave., Jackson, had backed into a vehicle driven by Nancy Newsom. Police determined that Kellough was at fault for improper backing and that she was driving with a suspended driver's license. She was cited for Driving Under Suspension.

JPD cites driver with Expired Plates

Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop at 10:21 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, after noticing a vehicle was being driven on East Main Street with its bright lights activated. Police then learned the license plates on the vehicle were expired. A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of East Main and Carr stre ets and the driver was identified as Levi S. Dempsey, 20, of 923 Wills Road, Ray. He was cited for Expired Plates.

Driver charged with running red light

At 7:37 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, Jackson Police officers observed a sports utility vehicle which allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of East Main and Huron streets. A traffic stop was initiated on Huron Street and the driver was identified as Sallie D. Yerian, 55, of Waverly. She was cited for a Red Light Violation.

JPD cites driver with Red Light Violation

Jackson Police officers detected a pickup truck allegedly running a red light at the intersection of East Main Street and Harding Avenue at 8:36 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. A traffic stop was made at the Speedway store at 449 East Main St. and the driver was identified as Eddie Locke, Jr., 26, of 2663 Jisco West Road, Jackson. He told police he thought the light was yellow when he drove through the intersection. He was cited with a Red Light Violation.

JPD cites driver for Stop Sign Violation

At 8:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, Jackson Police officers detected a sports utility vehicle which allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Oak Street and David Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as William Immel, 63, of 481 Deemer Road, Jackson. He was cited for a Stop Sign Violation.

Driver cited for Expired License in Jackson

At 9:32 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, Jackson Police officers initiated a traffic stop after seeing a vehicle allegedly run a red light at the intersection of East Main Street and Harding Avenue. The driver was identified as Eric Elkins, 48, of 8130 State Route 776, Jackson, and it was determined he was driving with an expired driver's license. He was cited for Expired Driver's License.
