Committee advises tax imposition
Concerned about having sufficient future funding for the police department, the Budget and Finance Committee of Jackson City Council is recommending that a 1 percent city income tax be imposed by council with the revenue to go to the police department.

Man killed in SR 56 crash Monday morning
