McCarty Lane rebuilding project set to begin Sept. 1
A large section of McCarty Lane in Jackson will soon be closed to thru traffic so a major road rebuilding project can take place. The construction project will be done in two parts with the first to begin Sept. 1 and involve the section from the roundabout near U.S. Route 35 to the railroad tracks near the Veterans Drive intersection. The first and larger section of the two-part project to rebuild McCarty Lane in Jackson is expected to begin Friday, Sept. 1 and that part of the road will be closed to thru traffic for an anticipated 2-½ months.
