JHS Homecoming activities upcoming

The 2017 Jackson High School (JHS) Homecoming Dance is set for Saturday, Oct. 21 in the JHS Commons from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year's theme will be "Night on the Nile." A queen-crowning ceremony is also set to take place prior to the start of the Friday night, Oct. 20 Jackson/Greenfield-McClain varsity football game at JHS Alumni Stadium. At that time, all attendants will be recognized and one senior will be crowned as the 2017 JHS Homecoming Queen by 2016 Queen Ally Irwin. Homecoming activities are sponsored by the JHS Student Council, and the queen's flowers have been donated by Green Leaf Florists of Jackson. Volunteers pack 250,508 meals

While many others were enjoying another beautiful autumn weekend in Jackson County, a large number of big-hearted volunteers were giving up a large chunk of their free time to attack the huge problem of world hunger.
