This Saturday, May 19, the public is invited to the Total Media Block Party from noon to 3 p.m. in downtown Jackson where the grand prize winner of the $5,000 Cash Giveaway will be announced.

Church Street will be blocked off to traffic from Main Street to just south of the alley behind The Radio building. There will be live entertainment on stage featuring Ben Davis Jr., free hot dogs and drinks, inflatables for the kids, and the Mark Wood Fun Show will be on hand from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., entertaining young and old alike. There will be drawings throughout the afternoon with prizes for all ages, so younger attendees will be able to register for those drawings.

In addition, there will be one last opportunity for block party goers age 18 and older to enter for a chance to win the $5,000 Cash Giveaway. In fact, 20 names will be drawn prior to 2 p.m. and entered in the big Cash Giveaway for a maximum total of one hundred entries. All entrants will place their own entry in the drum. If they are not present, their name will not be entered in the drawing. The grand prize winner of $5,000 will be randomly drawn and announced between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

(Editor's Note: Employees and Independent Contractors of Jackson County Broadcasting, The Radio, The Telegram and Zip Printing, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter and win.)
