"SHREK The Musical" to be Presented at JMS Auditorium March 23-25
The Jackson High School (JHS) Drama Club & Music Department will present "SHREK The Musical" with public performances Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and also on Sunday, March 25 at 3 p.m., at JMS Auditorium. Based on the Oscar-winning animated film, SHREK The Musical is a fairy-tale adventure that rewrites the book on fairy-tale adventures and proves that not only is beauty more than skin-deep, but that heroes can come in every shape and size. Also, a "Shrektacular Swamp Bash" will be held prior to the show on Saturday, March 24, with guests able to meet and interact with the characters, share a few special Shrek snacks, and register for one-of-a-kind door prizes. Following the Bash, guests will enjoy reserved seating for the Saturday evening performance. Tickets for this special event are $12 per person. Swamp Bash tickets and regular admission pre-sale tickets (which are good for open seating at any performance) are currently available from any student involved in the show and in the JHS office.
"Willy Wonka JR." to be Presented at WHS Cafetorium March 23-25
The Wellston High School Drama Club will present the classic, "Willy Wonka JR.," on the following dates and times at Wellston High School Cafetorium: Friday, March 23 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m. General admission tickets cost $5 each and are available for purchase at Brodigan's in Wellston, Wellston High School and Wellston City Schools Administration Office. The Happy Campers of Jackson Lake will hold their Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24 at Jackson Lake Campground. Registration starts at 1:30 p.m. and the fee is $2 per child.

Redeemed Riders to Hold Bake Sale Fundraiser March 31
The Redeemed Riders Christian Motorcyclist Association will hold a Bake Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, March 31 beginning at 10 a.m., at the Save-A-Lot location, 71 E. Huron St., Jackson. "The ministry of CMA has seen approximately 24 million people profess acceptance of Jesus Christ as a direct result of the outreaches funded by Run for the Son," a spokesman noted. None of the funds raised are used to fund daily operations. World Biker Outreach and Ministry Partners are co-sponsors.

The Sylvester Memorial Wellston Public Library will be pleased to welcome historian Ron Salmons on Thursday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. as Salmons will discuss the Battle of Berlin Heights (Berlin Crossroads). Salmons will be dressed in Civil War attire and in character as Colonel Benjamin Runkle. He will discuss the battle and the agenda of Confederate General John H. Morgan. Also, for the first time on display, Salmons will share Civil War artifacts from the Berlin Crossroads area.
