Armed & Ready celebrated the recent opening of its second location in the McCarty Crossing Shopping Center in Jackson with a ribbon-cutting event conducted Friday afternoon, May 12.

The husband-wife duo of Randy and Sally Patterson, who own the business, invited Jackson city government leaders and Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce leaders to the event as well as family members, employees, and others who were instrumental in the opening of the new store.

The store complements the first Armed & Ready store which opened in September 2015 at 9712 CH&D Road east of Jackson. The new store is more focused on home security and protection, according to Patterson, while the first store is geared more toward hunting.

The McCarty Crossing store will feature items such as surveillance cameras, Tasers, stun guns, mace, pepper sprays, and even a wide variety of concealed-carry purses.
