20th Annual Sons of Liberty Pre-1890 Indoor Trade Fair Set
The 20th Annual Sons of Liberty Pre-1890 Indoor Trade Fair will be held at Canter's Cave 4-H Camp near Jackson Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 21-22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Dealers representing the historical time line of 1700 to 1890 will have items for sale which represent that time period. The Indoor Trade Fair is organized and hosted by the Sons of Liberty Muzzleloading Rifle Club. Dealer tables are $25 each and admission for the general public is $3 per person, $2 per person in period dress with ages 12 and younger admitted for free. Food will be available on site and overnight accommodations are available at Harrison Powell Lodge on the Canter's Cave property. Once again, the Sons of Liberty Muzzleloading Rifle Club plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to the 4-H Camp.
Jackson Historical Society to Meet at Quality Inn
The Jackson Historical Society will hold its regular meeting beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Quality Inn, located at 605 E. Main Street, Jackson.
Annual Indoor Trade Fair at Canter's Cave 4-H Camp
The annual Indoor Trade Fair will celebrate its 20th year on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Canter's Cave 4-H Camp's Main Lodge. The event will feature a wide array of items common to the 18th and 19th centuries being sold by dealers in period dress, and food will also be available on site. Everything from period clothing, glassware, china, and candle lanterns to tomahawks, knives, leather goods, and flintlocks will be on display. Admission to the event is $3 per person, $2 for persons in period dress, and those 12 years of age and under get in free. For more information, call Larry Zornes at 740-286-2743. Oak Hill Public Library's Lego Club to Begin Soon
The Oak Hill Public Library's Lego Club is starting back up Monday, Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. in the Jenkins Room of the library. Children's Librarian Hope Leopold encourages parents and children to enjoy this family-friendly community event.
Red Hat Razzle Dazzle Ladies to Meet at Ponderosa
The Red Hat Razzle Dazzle Ladies will have their first meeting of 2017 on Friday, Jan. 27 at the Ponderosa Restaurant in Jackson, beginning at 12 p.m. All are welcome.
Ground Hog Day Brunch at First Presbyterian
The Annual Ground Hog Day Brunch at First Presbyterian Church (225 Church St., Jackson) is set for Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. The menu will include all-you-can-eat pancakes, drinks and "ground hog" (Steve Evans sausage), and the event is free to everyone. (Voluntary donations will be accepted and will be given to the Jackson Food Pantry.) Please plan to attend and enjoy brunch with good friends and fellowship. Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the morning.
Ladies' Prayer Tea at Christ UMC

"Snowmen" Preschool Book & Play Time
The Jackson City Library will be having Preschool Book and Playtime on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to attend this approximately 30-minute program including books, games, music and finger plays all about snowmen. Free Lunch at Hope United Methodist
A free lunch will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Hope United Methodist Church on First Street in Wellston. The menu will include chili and crackers, cookies and a drink, with serving time from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The lunch is free to all.
