New URG president is a positive ambassador
New University of Rio Grande President Dr. Michelle Johnston described herself as the university’s “biggest cheerleader” when she spoke at a recent meeting of the Jackson Rotary Club. She was delighted to report that some health care classes would be offered in Jackson in the near future.

New University of Rio Grande President Dr. Michelle Johnston described herself as the university’s “biggest cheerleader” when she spoke at a recent meeting of the Jackson Rotary Club. She was delighted to report that some health care classes would be offered in Jackson in the near future.

New University of Rio Grande (URG) and Rio Grande Community College President Dr. Michelle Johnston didn't bring any pom poms with her when she recently spoke to members of the Jackson Rotary Club, but she acknowledged that one of her roles is to be the institution's "biggest cheerleader."

Jackson City Schools, and specifically Jackson High School, ranks among North America's elite in advanced placement (AP) coursework and performance.

The district is one of only 30 in Ohio, and 547 across the United States and Canada, to be named to the College Board's 5th Annual AP District Honor Roll.
