5/8/2018 3:33:00 PM Stolen truck recovered; man arrested
A Zaleski man faces a felony charge after he allegedly stole a pickup truck last Thursday afternoon, May 4, in McArthur.
According to McArthur Police Chief Matt Kight, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, McArthur Police officers received a report of Ford 150 pickup truck which had been stolen from North Market Street in McArthur near the Wild Turkey Festival event.
The owner of the vehicle was able to name the possible suspect as Christopher K. Scott, 35, of Zaleski. At approximately 8:30 p.m. that same evening, Officer Jeremy Jackson was on patrol and located the stolen Ford F150 parked at the McArthur Express gas station on West Main Street in McArthur.
Officer Jackson made contact with the vehicle and found that Scott was in possession of the truck. Scott was transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville, for charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the owner. The case will be sent to the Vinton County Prosecutor's Office for review.
