A Chillicothe woman faces seven charges after she allegedly assaulted another woman last Tuesday night, June 13, at a Vinton County residence.
According to Vinton County Sheriff Shawn Justice, deputies were called at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, to a residence on Eagle Mills Road in Eagle Township where a domestic disturbance was occurring. Upon arrival, they saw Jaime Davidson, 48, of Chillicothe, hiding near a creek bed and also saw her placing something on the ground that appeared to have been in her purse.
Deputies learned from the purported victim, a 43-year-old female from Londonderry, that Davidson had arrived at the residence and began beating on the door. The victim answered the door and alleged Davidson was throwing items out of her vehicle onto the ground. When Davidson saw the victim, she then began to assault her. A male witness was at the residence and was able to break up the assault, telling deputies that Davidson kept clutching her purse and he believed that Davidson had a weapon.
Davidson allegedly resisted when deputies moved to arrest her, but was taken into custody without injury. Deputies looked in the area Davidson was seen hiding and found a .380-caliber semi-automatic pistol. Davidson was taken to Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Menacing, Carrying A Concealed Weapon, Criminal Trespassing, Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest, and Tampering with Evidence.
Deputy Nick Trainer handled this complaint and subsequent investigation and Sheriff Justice declared he did "a great job."
