3/15/2017 3:06:00 PM Letter: Comments on government and politics in general
To The Editor:
I got sick to my stomach 'cause I never got my Wednesday paper until Saturday late, then I was floored to read a rally was to be held shortly and I couldn't make it to the courthouse. If I did, I wouldn't have been on the same party page, that's for sure.
What gets my goat is, how could anyone support somebody in their infancy term who seems to be nothing but a braggadocious, pathetic liar? He just makes Pinocchio have a bad name and he was just a tale. Now when the public should be outraged and voicing their criticism. Like they couldn't let the past president off the hook with their tired slurs and disparaging comments in the media for the past eight years.
Obama was a real statesman who just sucked in his gut and took his adversity in stride instead of sinking to the degenerates' level. He couldn't even ask one of his aides to pull on his finger before he got effervescent without somebody complaining they got a whiff before it even happened. That's how bad it was for him.
Also, our government should have had fair health insurance care for everybody instead of robbing one certain group, always making the less fortunate pay more. If our government is supposed to be so far in debt, why is it that they can dish out billions of foreign aid every day? This is nothing but a diversion so the excess funds don't get back to the states to spread the wealth evenly. Now all you can hear is trim needed programs that helped make our society a better place for all. That's all they do on Capitol Hill is waste funds and take it out on the public. Just 'cause someone is lower class doesn't mean they didn't pay their dues working along the way like everybody more well-to-do.
And why should any President take the full blame for their failed policies when that's all Obama did was compromise? That's why I don't vote, when you belong to a certain majority party, nothing ever gets done, always one-sided. Also there ought to be a law for candidates who lie after they take the oath on a sacred book. They same as just mock the holy words and others lie about their dirty laundry until they get taken down a notch. When you swear on a Bible in any form of government, it looks like it should be called mixing religion and government. If everybody puts their faith in that so much, we wouldn't have all these stupid problems and the world would be a better place.
I know everybody's been fired up about jobs being sent overseas and immigrants taking them. But from the bad state of affairs, they need to shift their focus also to losing jobs to robots. The robots are taking humans' jobs every day and nobody is complaining yet. I never thought I'd live to see the day when vehicles can drive on their own. I like it 'cause instead of me trying to park forever I could just tell my car to get lost and pick me up later. And by all means, try not to look conspicuous next to those old manual antique cars.
