OAK HILL - The Oak Hill Lady Oaks volleyball team lost in three sets at home to South Webster, 25-14, 25-17, and 25-19 Tuesday evening in Southern Ohio Conference Division II competition.
South Webster held an 18-8 lead over the Lady Oaks in the opening set and went on to win 25-14 to take a 1-0 lead.
The Lady Jeeps held a 10-6 advantage in the second set, and a 15-11 run gave South Webster the eventual 25-17 win.
Oak Hill trailed 20-8 in the third set, but an 11-2 run by the Lady Oaks cut the deficit to four at 22-19. After a timeout, however, the Lady Jeeps scored the final three points en route to the match-deciding victory.
Caitlyn Brisker and Beth Eiring paced Oak Hill with a team-high four kills each, while Peyton Miller and Chloe Miller added three and two kills, respectively. Chambers also had four blocks, and Miller had one for the Lady Oaks.
Miller also led the offense with 11 assists while Eiring had a team-best seven digs to lead the defense, and Chambers had four.
Oak Hill closed out the regular season at Northwest on Thursday night in SOC II play. Results were not available at press time.
On Tuesday, the Lady Oaks will begin post-season play when they travel to Ross County to take on Southeastern at 6 p.m. in the Division II sectional tournament.
